Nagarjuna’s Wild Dog released in theaters on 2nd April 2021 but the sudden hit of a pandemic once again proved disappointing to the makers as it ran only for a few weeks. Nonetheless, the makers decided to release it on Netflix, as OTT platforms are the flavor of 2021. The film opened to an overwhelming response, good reviews, and appreciation on Netflix. The fans and critics showered the movie with positive reviews. The movie is available in Tamil, Malayalam, Telugu, Kannada languages and the Telugu version is trending on top India wide on Netflix.
Wild Dog starring Nagarjuna, Dia Mirza, Saiyami Kher, Atul Kulkarni, Ali Reza, Avijit Dutt, and Anish Kuruvilla tells the story of the National Investigation Agency (NIA) who carry out a planned mission to nab foreign territories. Ashishor Solomon directorial Wild Dog was well received by audiences for its real-life incident storyline of uncelebrated army officials who keep their identity confidential in order to ace their mission. Nagarjuna grabbed the attention of his fans with his intense acting skills. Director Ashishor Solomon also received accolades for the attractive plot and action scenes similar to that of a Hollywood movie.
As per reports, Wild Dog broke all South Indian films record by receiving millions of view count in just a few days. The Pan India quality made the movie receive great feedback in other languages all well. The Tamil version of the film is also on the top establishing the 5th position. The film which was released on 2nd April 2021 on big screens made a box office collection of 6 crores.
